It is a two year graduate diploma program in heating, ventilation and air conditioning which takes care of refrigeration. This program will prepare students towards their Gas Technician 2 and Oil Burner Technician 2 certifications. After successful completion of this program, graduates may apply to the Technical Standards and Safety Authority Certification and be qualified to work in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning field. Air conditioning and refrigeration principles will also be covered relating to the layout, installation, and service or residential and light commercial heating and cooling applications.

Employment opportunities
Graduates may find employment as heating technicians in natural gas, propane, and oil burner fields or with affiliated trade apprenticeship with the refrigeration or plumbing and heating industry. Employment may also occur in sales or as maintenance personnel in commercial, institutional and industrial areas.
