This program provides students with the most important skills required to work in any sector of the tourism industry. The curriculum follows the industry requirements by offering courses in world destinations, selling and customer service, transportation, communication, product knowledge, tour development and management, tourism law, business math, and event management. The students will learn to research, solve problems, be team players, exhibit professionalism and adapt to an ever-changing industry.
Students will become familiar with world tourist destinations and their local laws and customs. They will learn basic reservation and booking procedures for airline, hotel, car, cruise, rail and bus. The students receive training in both major airline reservation systems: APOLLO BY GEMINI (GALILEO) AND SABRE. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field through a volunteer hours component in first-year and a four-week field placement in second year.
Students will learn to plan, design, market, promote and sell travel products. Students may participate in an educational excursion in the fourth semester.

Employment Opportunities
Graduates from the program begin their career in the tourism industry in one of many interesting occupations with: tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, hotels and resorts, car rental companies, cruise and yacht companies.
Graduates will also have the skills to consider the entrepreneurial aspect of the tourism industry with regard to tour packaging for inbound and outbound tourism.

Three - Year Advanced DiplomaFeatures of the Program
The focus of Computer Systems Technology program is educating people for the networking fields. The three-year program provides graduates with in-depth networking skills to manage and solve the networking, security, wireless access, and Voice over IP (VoIP) needs of small to large enterprises. Our goal is to develop a workforce who can design, install, manage, secure, and troubleshoot networks and internetworks.
In this six-semester program, students will study desktop multi-user operating systems (Windows, UNIX, and Macintosh), local and wide area networks (LANs and WANs), network security, network management, unified wireless, and Voice over IP (VoIP). Courses in programming languages and in web and database technologies are also provided. As well, students will acquire skills in communication, customer service, entrepreneurship, and project management, because in today's team environments, employees must have both technical and people skills. Students learn how to configure routers, switches, wireless access points, bridges, wireless controllers, PIX/ASA firewall appliances, and VoIP telephones. Students also configure various Windows network operating systems and learn how to configure them using VMware virtualization to improving efficiency, availability, flexibility, and manageability of the infrastructure.

Mining Engineering Technician Program
Mining Engineering Technician Program
This is a two/three year program. Students can enroll first in the two year program and can go over to the third year program. Features of the program are:
Mining is a rapidly changing industry that requires significant technical expertise. The Mining Engineering Technician and Technologist functions as a part of an engineering team, coping with the many and varied technical problems which arise daily in the field, office, or underground. Some typical fields of work include surveying, drafting, design, environmental studies, industrial, geological and geophysical fieldwork, ventilation engineering, rock mechanics, and supervision.
Mining students should have an interest in how and why things work. He/she should like the active lifestyle involved in this type of work, where change is the rule rather than the exception. Each day brings new problems requiring innovative solutions, and for this reason the student should feel comfortable with change and challenge. For those people who do choose this career, there are many benefits. The mining and related industries have always been among the highest paying sectors of the economy.
In the fourth semester, students eligible for graduation may receive mine training at a local mine, subject to industrial participation. This training, known as "Basic Underground Common Core" supports the educational experience at Cambrian.
In the third year the mining enginneering technologist, like the technician, functions as a part of an engineering team. However, the technologist receives a greater depth of training in mining theory and the associated mathematics and computer techniques. The technology courses place more emphasis on problem solving and design work in the classroom.

Employment opportunities
Graduates of this program may get
employment in the
operations of large or small mines and may be employed in the mine engineering
office or in mine production as a supervisor.
Some graduates may work in more specialized areas such as: rock mechanics, mine
ventilation, air conditioning , mine safety .
Many technicians/technologists may also work for government agencies or as
technical sales representatives with the industrial suppliers who service this
huge industry. Others may elect to work overseas. A career in mining may offer
travel opportunities, varied living environments, and experience with other
cultures and people.
Mechanical Engineering Technician
Mechanical Engineering Technician
It
is a three-year graduate program which provides comprehensive instruction in
mechanical engineering design, research and development. Students work in
sophisticated laboratory environment with the most current tools and techniques,
doing project-oriented assignments that simulate the workplace responsibilities
of mechanical engineering technicians. They will acquire a broad base of
fundamental knowledge, along with job-specific skills that employers seek.
The program features direct, hands-on experience with the most up-to-date
mechanical engineering computer technology, including:
- Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Fluid power technology
- Energy systems
- Computer-assisted Design and Manufacturing (CAD/CAM)
- Parametric solid modeling and design, using Solid works and CATIA
Students will also get a solid academic foundation in basic math and science, as
well as classroom instruction in advanced subjects such as calculus, kinetics,
machine dynamics, energy systems, and industrial practice.
Students can graduate after four terms as a mechanical engineering technician,
or stay on for a third year to acquire an advanced diploma.

It is a two-year Interior Decoration program in which students work in a professional studio environment, get training on industry-standard software, have full access to finish, paints and samples in decorating and design resource room, trips to showrooms, decorating studios, decorating an design exhibitions etc.Students will learn the following professional skills:
- Plan and design residential and small commercial environments, from programming to final presentation drawings
- Draft using professional standards to visually communicate details and design concepts
- Freehand draw, sketch and apply mixed media to presentations
- Design and implement marketing and sales strategies
- Prepare portfolio and decorating presentations
- Utilize effective verbal and graphic communication skills
- Enhance visual presentations using industry software such as 2020 Kitchen and Bath, Sketch up, and AutoCAD

The program is designed to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers as human resources practitioners. The curriculum includes all of the approved courses required by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) in Ontario to qualify to write the National Knowledge Exam in human resources. In this program, the focus will be on the practical aspects of hospitality service. The program has been designed so that students develop and acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to enter the workforce and to perform their roles in front line service. Students will be instructed in mixology, wines, customer service, hotel services, and menu planning and design. They will also be provided with an introduction to managerial concepts including accounting, marketing, law and human resource management. Graduates will have a good understanding of the front and back operations of a restaurant, hotel, resort and lodge and the basic managerial skills necessary to coordinate the operation.Admission Requirements
